How do you know Jesus?

What a great question, or it could be asked “who is Jesus to you”. There’s a big difference between knowing Jesus and following Jesus. Jesus is free for all of us willing to accept him as our Lord and Savior. We can’t buy our way into heaven. By faith we can go to heaven but it cost Jesus his life on the cross. By his grace and mercy he paid our sin debts. When we have a relationship with Jesus we have the power of the Holy spirit-the helper. The Holy Spirit gives us the discernment to make better choices, comforts us and counsels us. When we take our eyes off the storm and focus on knowing Gods plan is greater that’s pretty comforting. When we focus our thoughts on high we get the “Fruit of the spirit” including joy beyond understanding, kindness and goodness we never felt before. Our emotions and self control are more focused on what’s best. As a believer we have a loving father that wants what’s best for his children. We may not understand it or agree with what we’re going through but can take comfort knowing our God isn’t going to give us more than we can handle.

Tomorrow or 5 minutes from now isn’t promised. If you’re not sure Jesus is your Lord and Savior I urge you to change that and start growing your relationship. Say this prayer below and turn away from any sin, that means to repent. Nobody is too far gone, that’s a lie of the world. The thief on the cross is in Heaven. He didn’t have time to get off that cross and do good works, or make amends. He made it by faith.

Pray this prayer ” Dear Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and can’t save myself. I believe that your son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I put my trust in you Lord and turn from my sins. Lord I ask you please forgive me and come into my heart and be Lord of my life. Thank you Lord, Amen.”
